Terms of Service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bayza mobile app, the bayza.io website and the financial services offered through them (together, the “Services”). By creating a Bayza account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. About Bayza
Bayza is a financial-technology service. Bayza is not a bank. Regulated features — including payment cards, IBAN accounts and cross-border payouts — are provided through licensed partners. Those features are also subject to the partners’ own terms, which we will make available to you where they apply. Availability, currencies, limits and features vary by country and are subject to identity verification.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
- You must not be located in, or a resident of, a country or on a list where we are not permitted to provide the Services.
- You must use the Services only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.
3. Your account and identity verification
To use the Services you must create an account and complete identity verification (KYC). You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date. We may refuse, limit or suspend access, or request further information, where verification is incomplete or where required for security or compliance.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials and device secure, for all activity under your account, and for enabling available security features such as two-factor authentication. Notify us immediately at info@bayza.io if you suspect unauthorised access, and freeze any affected card from within the app.
4. The Services
- Wallet — hold and manage balances in supported currencies, and convert between them at the rate shown at the time.
- Cards — order virtual or physical cards funded from your wallet, and manage freeze, limits, PIN and top-ups.
- IBAN accounts — where available, receive funds by SEPA or SWIFT and move funds between your accounts.
- Global transfers — send cross-border payouts from your wallet, with the exchange rate and fee shown before you confirm.
- Top-ups — add funds by transfer or with supported digital assets.
We may add, change, suspend or remove features, and we may set or change limits, at any time where reasonable or required by law or a partner.
5. Fees and exchange rates
Applicable fees and exchange rates are shown in the app before you confirm a transaction, and may also be published in our fee schedule. Rates for conversions and transfers can change until the moment you confirm. By confirming a transaction you agree to the amounts shown.
6. Transactions and authorisation
You authorise us and our partners to process the transactions you instruct. Once a payment, conversion or payout is confirmed it may be irreversible. You are responsible for the accuracy of recipient and beneficiary details; we are not liable for a transfer sent to details you entered incorrectly. We may decline, delay, reverse or hold a transaction to comply with law, manage risk, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or error.
7. Digital assets
If you top up using a digital asset, you are responsible for sending the correct asset on the correct network to the address we provide. Transfers on a blockchain are generally irreversible, and assets sent to the wrong address or network may be lost permanently and cannot be recovered. The value of digital assets can change — see our Risk Disclosure.
8. Prohibited use
You must not use the Services to: break any law or sanctions regime; launder money or finance terrorism; commit fraud or facilitate it; infringe others’ rights; transact in goods or services we prohibit; attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt or reverse-engineer the Services; or provide false information. Breaching this section may lead to suspension or closure and may be reported to the authorities.
9. Compliance and monitoring
We operate anti-money-laundering, sanctions-screening and fraud-prevention controls. We may screen, monitor, request information about, freeze or report activity as required by law. See our AML & Compliance statement.
10. Suspension and closure
You may close your account at any time from within the app — see Account & Data Deletion. We may suspend or close your account, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms, if required by law or a partner, or to protect you, other users or Bayza. On closure we will, subject to any legal holds, return any remaining eligible balance to you using a method we support. Certain records are retained after closure as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bayza is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, goodwill or data arising from your use of the Services. Nothing here limits your rights under mandatory consumer-protection law that applies to you.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you through the app or by email. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
