Bayza is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and sanctions breaches. This statement summarises the controls we operate. It works together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Know Your Customer (KYC)
Before you can use regulated features, we verify your identity. This includes collecting your identity details, checking a government identity document, and confirming it is you with a live selfie or liveness check. We may re-verify your identity, or ask for additional information or documents, during your relationship with us.
Sanctions screening
We screen customers and transactions against applicable sanctions and watchlists. We do not provide the Services to individuals or entities who are sanctioned, or who are located in countries or regions where we are not permitted to operate.
Ongoing monitoring
We monitor activity for signs of fraud, abuse and financial crime. Where our controls or the law require it, we may request information about a transaction, place a hold, decline or reverse it, freeze an account, or report activity to the relevant authorities. We may be prohibited by law from telling you when a report has been made.
Record-keeping
We keep identity and transaction records for the periods required by law, including after an account is closed. See the retention section of our Privacy Policy.
